Family Access Medical
Our Business Plan & Long-Term Vision
A community-built healthcare system designed for access, trust, and sustainability.
1. Why Family Access Medical Exists
Healthcare has become fragmented, difficult to access, and driven by systems that reward volume instead of outcomes.
Patients struggle to:
- Get timely primary care appointments
- Build real relationships with providers
- Understand what care will cost
Providers struggle with:
- Unsafe patient volumes
- Administrative overload
- Burnout and loss of autonomy
Employers struggle with:
- Rising healthcare costs
- Unpredictable benefits
- Employee dissatisfaction
Family Access Medical (FAM) exists to fix these problems — not by replacing hospitals or insurance — but by rebuilding the front door of healthcare.
2. What Family Access Medical Is (and Is Not)
What We Are
- A membership-based healthcare organization
- Focused on primary care, urgent care, and diagnostics
- Built around predictable pricing and unlimited access
- Designed to grow only when care quality is protected
- Clinician-led in how care is delivered
What We Are Not
- Not an insurance company
- Not a concierge clinic for the wealthy
- Not a venture-backed startup chasing rapid exits
- Not driven by shareholder returns
We believe healthcare should be designed around members and clinicians, not financial engineering.
3. Where We Are Starting
Family Access Medical will launch in Beachwood, serving the greater Cleveland area.
This region was chosen because it offers:
- Strong household income levels
- Dense employer presence
- Families actively seeking better healthcare access
- Existing hospital infrastructure, but limited primary-care availability
This allows us to launch responsibly, learn locally, and expand deliberately.
4. Our Membership Model
Members pay a flat monthly fee for access to care — not per visit, not per test.
Core Membership Includes
- Unlimited primary care visits
- Unlimited urgent care visits
- Preventive care and annual exams
- Chronic care management
- On-site diagnostic imaging (X-ray & MRI)
- Transparent exclusions
There are:
- ✓ No copays
- ✓ No deductibles for included services
- ✓ No surprise bills
Emergency care, hospitalization, and certain specialty services are handled through separate partner programs, not bundled into primary care.
5. Add-On Programs (Carefully Governed)
To prevent confusion and cost creep, all add-ons are optional, clearly defined, and selected annually.
Early Add-Ons
- Emergency & catastrophic coverage
Future Add-Ons
- Pharmacy Access (tiered)
- Dental access
- Vision access
- Internal pharmacy services
These are introduced only when operationally ready.
6. How We Grow (Phased & Disciplined)
Growth at Family Access Medical happens in phases, each with clear criteria.
Phase One — Foundation
- Facility build-out
- Compliance and licensing
- Technology systems
- Employer outreach
- Community support
No clinical services are delivered during this phase.
Phase Two — Clinical Launch
Clinical care begins only after:
2,000 committed subscriptions
(business-sponsored and/or direct members)
This ensures:
- Proper staffing from day one
- Financial stability
- A positive member experience
Phase Three — Expanded Access
- Dental services
- Vision services
- Internal pharmacy operations
Phase Four — Long-Term Expansion
- 24/7 urgent care locations
- Larger regional hubs
- Additional Ohio locations
We expand only when care quality and staffing allow.
7. Protecting Care Quality (Non-Negotiable)
Family Access Medical enforces strict provider-to-member limits.
Staffing Guardrails
Per 1,000 active members:
- 2 Medical Doctors
- 1 Registered Nurse
- 2 Medical Assistants
If staffing ratios are exceeded, membership growth pauses.
This protects:
- Patient access
- Provider wellbeing
- Long-term sustainability
We will not sacrifice care quality for growth.
8. Employer Partnerships
Employers can offer Family Access Medical as:
- A primary healthcare benefit
- A supplemental benefit
- A shared-cost benefit
To prevent overload:
- Employers are onboarded in controlled waves
- Primary care establishment is scheduled
- Walk-in care remains available during ramp-up
No single employer will represent more than 5% of total membership.
9. Technology & Data Responsibility
Technology exists to support care, not replace it.
Our platform is used to:
- Manage memberships
- Coordinate care
- Provide employers with non-medical reporting
- Improve operational efficiency
We will never:
- Sell patient data
- Use AI to make medical decisions
- Compromise privacy
Future software licensing, if pursued, will be separate from clinical care.
10. How This Is Funded
Family Access Medical is funded through:
- Membership revenue
- Community support
- SBA-backed debt only
We do not:
- Sell equity to outside investors
- Offer profit participation
- Grant governance rights tied to capital
Capital exists to enable care, not control it.
11. Community Support & Transparency
Community supporters help fund:
- Facility build-out
- Diagnostic equipment
- Technology systems
- Compliance and licensing
Community contributions:
- Are not equity
- Are not loans
- May qualify for membership-related benefits
- Are governed by clear legal disclosures
If the clinic does not open, defined refund policies apply.
12. Risk Management & Compliance
We operate with:
- HIPAA compliance
- Imaging safety and licensing
- Malpractice coverage
- Third-party compliance audits
Ohio does not require a Certificate of Need for MRI, reducing regulatory risk.
13. What We Will Not Do
To be explicit, Family Access Medical will not:
- Chase rapid national scale
- Sacrifice provider wellbeing
- Turn care decisions over to investors
- Franchise medical operations
- Sell the organization to a large healthcare conglomerate
Healthcare should be stable, not speculative.
14. Long-Term Vision (5–10 Years)
Our goal is to:
- Serve Cleveland deeply
- Expand thoughtfully across Ohio
- Maintain neighborhood-scale clinics
- Operate larger flagship locations where appropriate
- Build a healthcare system people trust again
This is a long-term commitment — not a short-term project.
15. Closing
Family Access Medical is being built carefully, transparently, and with intention.
Not to disrupt healthcare —
but to restore access, trust, and continuity.
If you support this vision, you are supporting:
- Better care
- Healthier communities
- Sustainable healthcare
